Description

Huawei SFP 1000BASE-T (Copper RJ45) Transceiver is a 1 Gigabit Ethernet copper SFP module that you plug into an SFP port on a switch or router.
Instead of using fiber optics, it provides a copper RJ45 Ethernet interface so the SFP port can connect to standard Ethernet (Cat5e/Cat6) cables.

How It Works

Normal switches have fixed RJ45 ports, but some enterprise switches only have SFP/SFP+ slots — usually used for fiber.
A 1000BASE-T copper SFP module lets one of those SFP slots behave like a standard Gigabit RJ45 Ethernet port:

1. Plug the SFP module into an SFP slot on the switch/router.

2. Connect a Cat5e/6 Ethernet cable to the module’s RJ45 socket.

3. The link will auto-negotiate up to 1000 Mbps and support normal Ethernet traffic up to 100 m.
