Pros / Advantages
-
Modern WiFi-6 support, which means better throughput, more simultaneous devices, better handling of interference etc.
-
Multiple LAN ports and voice ports make it suitable for homes or small offices needing wired & phone connectivity.
-
USB port can give extra functionality (storage, etc.).
-
Reasonable power consumption compared to older routers.
Potential Limitations / Things to Check
-
Total wired speed depends on GPON line speed offered by the ISP. If you have a lower GPON plan, you might not see full benefit of WiFi 6.
-
WiFi range / signal strength still depends on location, walls, interference etc. Despite WiFi 6 improvements, physical placement matters.
-
Firmware/software support & updates depend on ISP (Omantel in this case). Sometimes features might be locked or limited.
-
When resetting, you might lose configuration, so ISP support might be needed.
-
30days checking warranty
